Lead capture
How Wiqly captures, stores, and delivers the leads your widget generates.
When a visitor submits an email-capture form on your widget, the lead lands in three places at once. You decide which to look at.
Where leads land
- Your dashboard — every lead shows up under the widget's detail page. Filter, sort, export to CSV.
- Your inbox — if you've set an email recipient on the CTA, every lead triggers an email notification with all the details.
- Your CRM — if you've configured a webhook URL, every lead is POSTed there in real time.
You don't have to use all three. Most customers use the dashboard + email; the webhook is for teams already on a CRM (HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, etc.).
What's captured
Every lead includes whatever fields the visitor filled in:
- Name (optional)
- Email (required)
- Phone (optional)
- Message (optional)
- Which question the visitor was watching when they submitted (useful for context)
- A timestamp
Subsections
- Webhooks — wiring leads to your CRM or automation tool
- Email notifications — setting up and customising the inbox alert
When you'll see no leads
- Right after launching — give it a week of real traffic
- If your CTA isn't email capture — link and phone CTAs don't generate "leads" in this sense; their conversion shows up in your analytics as click-throughs or call initiations (calls aren't tracked, only the tap)
- If your widget's open rate is below 5% — there aren't enough watchers to convert. See Analytics to diagnose.
