This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar storage technologies Wiqly uses on wiqly.io (the dashboard) and cdn.wiqly.io (the embeddable widget).
Short version: the dashboard uses essential cookies for login. The embeddable widget does not use cookies at all — it uses sessionStorage, which is cleared when you close the tab.
When you log into the dashboard at wiqly.io, we set the following essential cookies. These are required for the site to function and do not require consent under the UK’s Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
sb-* | Supabase authentication tokens — keeps you logged in across page loads. | Session / 7 days |
NEXT_LOCALE | Stores your language preference so the dashboard renders in the right locale. | 1 year |
theme | Remembers whether you prefer light or dark mode. | 1 year |
layout-style | Remembers whether you prefer the sidebar or top-bar navigation. | 1 year |
sidebar_state | Remembers whether your sidebar was collapsed or expanded. | 1 year |
We don’t use advertising cookies, third-party analytics cookies, or cross-site tracking cookies on the dashboard.
The Wiqly widget you see on third-party websites does not use cookies. It uses sessionStorage, a browser feature that:
We use sessionStorageto hold a random per-tab session ID. This lets us aggregate analytics events from the same visitor session (e.g. “the same person opened the widget and then watched a video”) without identifying you across sessions or websites.
What this means for the website operator embedding our widget:embedding Wiqly does not require you to add Wiqly to your cookie banner, because we don’t set cookies. You should still mention Wiqly in your privacy policy if you process leads through it.
The dashboard loads resources from a small number of third parties (e.g. Stripe’s billing portal, our font CDN). These services may set their own cookies according to their respective cookie policies. We don’t control these cookies and you should review the privacy policies of those providers if you want details.
You can clear or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from logging into the Wiqly dashboard.
If we change how Wiqly uses cookies or storage, we’ll update this page. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent change.
