Email notifications

Get an email every time a visitor submits a lead capture form.

Every email-capture CTA can fire an email notification when a visitor submits. It's the simplest way to react to leads in real time — no CRM required.

Setting it up

  1. In the FAQ editor (create or edit page), find the question with the email-capture CTA
  2. Open the CTA settings
  3. Set the Email recipient field

You can have a different recipient per question. Useful when different questions go to different teams ("Book a demo" → sales@; "Need support" → support@).

If you leave the field blank, no email is sent — but the lead still lands in your dashboard and fires any webhook you've configured.

What the email looks like

The notification includes:

  • The visitor's name (if provided), email, phone, and message
  • Which question they were watching when they submitted
  • The widget name (useful if you have multiple widgets)
  • A "View in dashboard" button that links straight to the lead

It comes from leads@wiqly.io so you can set up filters in your inbox if you want.

Multiple recipients

You can only set one recipient per CTA. To CC multiple people:

  • Use a distribution list email (e.g. sales@yourcompany.com that forwards to several people)
  • Or use a webhook to dispatch to multiple inboxes via Zapier / Make

Deliverability

We send from a domain authenticated with SPF and DKIM. In normal conditions, emails land in the inbox. Things that can route them to spam:

  • A recipient that's never received from us before — first email might land in Promotions or Spam, subsequent ones are fine
  • Aggressive corporate spam filters — if you're using a @yourcompany.com recipient, ask your IT to allow-list wiqly.io

What if I want to brand the email?

Custom-branded lead emails are on the roadmap. Right now they all come from leads@wiqly.io with our standard template.

Turning notifications off

Clear the Email recipient field on the CTA and save. Leads still land in your dashboard, just without the email alert.
